Project Title & Description
Safe Drinking Water Act Implementation
This project provides continued funding for staff and support for Connecticut's drinking water program in the effort to provide clean and safe drinking water to all residents and visitors to the state of Connecticut. This includes many programmatic activities such as public outreach, protection of drinking water sources, and other efforts designed to protect drinking water systems. These funds will also be used for the implementation of several regulations by the State of Connecticut that are required under the Safe Drinking Water Act designed to control or reduce contamination of drinking water by bacteria, viruses, chemicals, and many other types of pollution. This will result in cleaner and safer drinking water statewide.
