Brownfields Hazardous Substances Assessment Grant Cooperative Agreement
Under this Cooperative Agreement, the Camden Redevelopment Agency will use Recovery Act funding to develop and implement a program to assess local "brownfields" properties, or properties whose expansion, redevelopment or reuse may be complicated by the presence of hazardous substances, so that planning may be done to address the contamination. The Camden Redevelopment Agency will select and assess sites believed to be contaminated specifically with hazardous substances throughout the City of Camden. During the life of the project the Camden Redevelopment Agency will also involve residents and other stakeholders surrounding the sites by holding community meetings and sharing information.
