This project supports the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement, pursuant to Public Law 112-10. The Door County Soil & Water Conservation Department will design and install green infrastructure measures to reduce, capture, and treat stormwater runoff to improve water quality at public beaches. These measures include the reduction of impervious surfaces near beach areas, installation of rain gardens and bio-filters, and reduction of waterfowl landing and congregation at beaches.
