This project supports the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement, pursuant to Public Law 111-88. Specifically, this project will assist the 1854 Treaty Authority in building capacity to contribute to activities that support the Lake Superior Lakewide Management Plan; to develop and maintain an active role in activities of the Lake Superior Binational Program; and to fulfill their responsibility as co-managers in continuing to address issues within the Lake Superior watershed and 1854 Ceded Territory. This project also includes activities that will address aquatic invasive species and climate change.
