This grant is for construction of a 200,000 gallons per day Biological Nutrient Removal wastewater treatment system which will upgrade and expand Willard's existing 80,000 gallons per day 2-basin facultative lagoon wastewater treatment plant. The 2 lagoon basins will be converted into a flow equalization basin and a long-term biosolids holding pond. Other components of the plant (influent pump station, solids screening, valves, piping, chlorination/de-chlorination tanks) will be replaced or upgraded to accommodate the increase in hydraulic treatment capacity in Willards, MD.
