Project Title & Description
Capacity building of Louden environmental department, this will include implementation of Quality Assurance Project Plan for air and water quality. Louden will work with the City of Galena to develop a system that can handle human waste in a healthier manner. Air quality education for Indoor air in schools and homes. Educational project on traditional history documenting in video and pamphlets subsistence from elders. Address hazardous waste, fuel spills and leaks. Project will also support the Yukon/Koyukuk Consortia of six villages in the region by providing assistance with inter-village communications on environmental concerns, training and technical assistance, develop cooperative projects, develop air and water quality baselines, cooperative educational programs and work with other agencies monitoring subsistence.
