The objective of the project is to plan, develop and establish the capability for implementing environmental protection programs and to develop and implement tribal solid and hazardous waste programs. In addition, Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa will protect the quality of the water resources that includes groundwater, lakes, and streams by building and enhancing basic infrastructure of an environmental programs consistent with tribal culture and values.
