Project Title & Description
Identify 8-10 automotive/auto body repair shops in WY willing to implement procedures to filter, distill, reuse, process or otherwise purify substances used in their shops that would have been disposed of as solid or hazardous waste. Observe waste operations and research P2 methods for each shop and provide custom recommendations and cost savings for the automotive repair shops to implement technologies such as used oil burners, lacquer stills, parts washer solvent stills or aqueous parts washers, antifreeze purifiers, or byproduct use. Measurements will include costs savings to the business, gallons of solvent reduced, energy recovered for heat, and solid and hazardous waste reduced.
