This Funding Recommendation adds supplemental funding in the amount of $8,000 which was needed for the State of Kentucky to complete the HQ Non NPL Site Study which was due in August 2010. The commitment notice to add the $8,000 was finalized on 8/26/10. The original approved budget was increased by $8,000 which necessitates this Funding Recommendation to address the $8,000 ceiling increase.

This assistance agreement funds activities at the State of Kentucky that will improve or enhance the State's ability to control risks to human health and/or the environment. These funds allow the State to conduct non-site specific activities such as program management and supervision necessary to direct the State's program and ensure that State's abilities to participate in aspects of CERCLA implementation.
