Clean Water Act Section 106 State Monitoring Strategy Implementation
The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is utilizing these funds to implement and enhance its current effort under the State�s Water Monitoring and Assessment Strategy in building capacity and support for future planning efforts. DEC will continue development and implementation of regional sampling surveys to meet the State Water Quality Assessment and Monitoring Strategy objective of providing data on the status, changes, and trends in Alaska�s fresh and marine waters for resource management decision making, including reporting to EPA on the conditions of state waters.
