Project Title & Description
2010 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rebuy (4Rs) in Schools Program
Ramapo College will have a reduce, reuse, recycle and rebuy program in three New Jersey schools. This program will promote and achieve: 1) the reduction of actual wasteage of food and reduce packaging waste; 2) reuse of untouched, uncontaminated food; that is, allow it to be consumed by either another student or a person outside the school; 3) design of a recycling system for food waste and other organic waste, and lastly, 4) schools will have the opportunity to purchase compost made from their own food waste.
