Project Title & Description
Erasing the Legacy of Lead Poisoning in Our Communities
This project provides targeted blood lead screening and outreach activities in up to nine communities in Sedgwick County identified by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) as at high risk for childhood lead poisoning. In collaboration with Safe Kids of Kansas, outreach activities will provide education and resources to families with children under 6 years old and free blood lead testing. It also targets health care workers and provides physician's offices in the area with resource material.
