FY2009/20010 Asbestos OECA CA
The Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards (MADLS) Asbestos in Schools Program will: (1) review school asbestos management plans to ensure they are in compliance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (40 CFR 763); (2) maintain an asbestos accreditation and certification training program, (3) provide educational outreach activities to teachers, parents, and school maintenance personnel on the dangers of exposure to asbestos containing materials; (4) perform compliance enforcement audits of state licensed asbestos professionals; and (5) develop AHERA compliance monitoring database checklist.
