ADEC Water Quality Management
In Alaska, 205(j) grant funds are used to make the state's regulations and guidelines for the water quality standards (WQS) understandable, reasonable, scientifically defensible, and accepted by the public and private sectors as being protective of designated uses. During the past grant period (FFY 2012), the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) organized and convened a stakeholder group to inform the Department�s development of implementation methods for antidegradation policy.
