Water Pollution Control Program (Monitor Surface Water)
Continued support for the Tribe's water pollution control program. The fiscal year 2005 objective is to continue the sampling regime to assess surface water quality on Tribal lands for the purpose of compiling data which may show changes over time to determine a more thorough watershed management program to develop water quality standards. Obtained data will determine whether, 1) the needs regarding the quality of the water occurring on the nation's reservation are being met, 2) note any changes in the quality and/or condition of the nation's water and, 3) understand and define the function and health of the stream ecosystem.
