This free, one day workshop will focus on opportunities to reduce emissions from the oil and natural gas industries while obtaining economic benefits and positive recognition. Participants will engage in a peer-based exchange of technical and economic information on practices currently in use today. Presentations will include sufficient detail to allow the performance of a feasibility assessment of these practices on participants’ own facilities.

10:30 am - 11:15 am
Presentation: Processor Best Management Practices and Opportunities
– Industry peers have identified cost-effective methane emissions reduction practices and lessons learned. This presentation will cover several opportunities including pigging flow-lines and CO2 removal techniques and detail the step-by-step decision process for their implementation, cost and benefit information, and practical commonsense implementation tips and resources for further information.
11:15 am - 12:00 pm
Presentation: Natural Gas Dehydration –
This presentation provides an overview of methane emissions and reduction opportunities for producers during natural gas dehydration. The presentation will include discussion of both glycol dehydrators as well as desiccant dehydrators.

2:45 pm - 3:30 pm
Methane Savings from Compressors –
Compressors cause natural gas losses from fugitive emissions at several specific compressor-related components. This presentation outlines the technical and economic decision making process to replacing worn rod packing rings, rods and seals on reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, and describes the potential operational benefits, reduced methane emissions, and cost savings achieved.
