Calcasieu Parish, LA Air Toxics Monitoring Study

Printer-friendly version

The Calcasieu Parish Air Monitoring Study (CPAMS) is a voluntary cooperative effort between the Lake Area Industry Alliance (LAIA), Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) and the US EPA, Region 6, to collect an extensive amount of sample data to assess air quality issues in Calcasieu Parish. The LAIA provides funding in support of the VOC data collection and dioxins/furans/PCBs sampling efforts. US EPA, Region 6 also collected samples for dioxins/furans/PCBs during 2001 and early 2002. The LDEQ provides public access to all CPAMS data in spreadsheet format at the web address below. The network is comprised of five sampling locations, which were selected through a combination of EPA computer modeling, proximity to industrial areas and communities.
