Chattanooga Air Toxics Study

Printer-friendly version

The study involved air toxics monitoring and risk assessment to determine the pollutants of most concern and the development of effective strategies for identifying sources and reducing emissions of the chemicals producing unacceptable risk. The monitoring study was a joint study between US EPA Region 4 and the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Bureau (CHCAPB). The air monitoring, as well as the related risk assessment study are complete. A stakeholder group is currently working to identify potential sources of priority pollutants and workable reduction solutions.
