Assessment of Indoor Air Quality in Rural Alaska

Printer-friendly version

This project addresses toxic air pollutant impacts in rural Alaska, which are a high priority for both EPA and the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC). It will include monitoring for toxic air pollutants inside homes in rural Alaska and determination of types of air emission sources present in rural communities. The department will work with local tribal representatives to design and conduct monitoring in rural Alaska. This project will be combined with an ambient air toxic study to help characterize community wide impacts.
