Printer-friendly version

The purpose of this study was to analyze sources of air pollutants suspected or known to cause cancer and to estimate the health risk from exposure to these pollutants in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. An emissions inventory was developed that included point, area, and mobile sources. Computer modeling was carried out to estimate the ambient concentrations of the selected pollutants in the receptor area. Cancer risk estimation, for individual risks and population incidence was then carried out.
