Summary
This three volume report summarizes the findings of exposure assessments performed by SRI International. Substances for which exposure assessments wee made include: Mirex, kepone, toxaphene, benzene coke-oven emissions, arsenic, formaldehyde, alkylbenezene solvents, aromatic amines, and aliphatic amines. In addition, a document was written regarding the chemical and physical properties of coke-oven emissions, the production and use of 13 aldehyde compounds, and the preparation of chemical exposure assessments. Volume I summarizes the results of the various exposure studies and describes methods found useful in conducting exposure assessments.
The exposure assessments and the coke-oven chemical and physical properties reports can be found in Volumes II and III. Volume II contains three appendices to Volume I as follows:
Appendix A: Human Population Exposures to Mirex and Kepone (also available as EPA Report EPA-600/1-78-045 dated June 1978)
Appendix B: Human Population Exposures to Toxaphene (chlorinated camphenes)
Appendix C: Human Population Exposures to Atmospheric Benzene
Volume III contains seven appendices to Volume I as follows:
Appendix D: Human Population Exposures to Atmospheric Coke-oven Emissions
Appendix E: Human Population Exposures to Atmospheric Arsenic
Appendix F: Human Population Exposures to Atmospheric Formaldehyde Inside Residents
Appendix G: Human Population Exposures to Alkylbenzenes from their Use as Solvents
Appendix H: Human Population Exposures to Selected Aromatic Amines
Appendix I: Human Population Exposures to Selected Aliphatic Amines
Appendix J: Identity and Chemical and Physical Properties in Coke-oven Emissions
