EPA has released its strategy, Plan EJ 2014, to protect people’s health and the environment in communities overburdened by pollution.

Environmental Justice (EJ) is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies. Read more about Environmental Justice

EPA Assistant Regional Counsel, Cliff Villa, is shown presenting at a public workshop on "Environmental Justice and the Law", co-sponsored by EPA and Heritage University in Toppenish, Washington. In his presentation, Cliff defined environmental justice, described the legal responsibilities pertaining to environmental justice, and discussed environmental justice policies, tools, activities, and case studies.
