Indoor Air Quality in Region 10

Research indicates that people spend approximately 90% of their time indoors, and air within homes and other buildings can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air, even in the largest and most industrialized cities.

In addition, people who spend the most time indoors are often those most susceptible to health problems associated with indoor air pollution, such as young children, senior citizens, and people with chronic health conditions such as respiratory or cardiovascular disease.
