News New and improved GIS maps are now available online for the 14 EPA-designated sole source aquifers in Idaho, Washington and Oregon. The new maps outline the borders of the aquifer area, the source area and they contain road names. Project managers can find their project locations on the map and know whether or not they need EPA Sole Source Aquifer Program review and approval. (Review and approval is necessary if the project is located within an aquifer or source area AND is receiving federal funding.)
