Toxics Release Inventory (TRI)

The Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) is a national database that contains information on how over 650 chemicals are disposed of or released into the environment by industrial facilities. Read more about the Toxics Release Inventory program

TRI Reporting
Facilities that meet
certain criteria are required to report by July 1 each year. Reports are submitted to EPA and the State electronically with the TRI-MEweb software.
TRI reporting forms and instructions

TRI reporters in Idaho and Alaska that use TRI-MEweb are no longer required to submit paper TRI forms to the State. Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington are now part of the TRI Data Exchange.

Access to TRI Data
Each year we publish
national TRI data that summarizes and analyzes the previous year’s TRI reporting. Contact us for assistance with how to find TRI data and how to develop your own TRI reports.
