Idaho Mining
EPA Region 10 Idaho Mining Priorities
Overview
Mining and mineral processing are important in Idaho. They are important to our local and state-wide economies. They are also important because they can threaten our environment and the health of local residents if not planned, operated, or reclaimed carefully. Much of EPA’s work in Idaho is related, directly or indirectly, to mining or mineral processing. Below are links to EPA activities and priority projects related to mining and mineral processing. The list is organized by stage in the life-cycle of a mining project. Also included are links to other related sites or documents that may be useful.
