The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 10’s 2009 Champions of Environmental Leadership and Green Government Awards program seeks to recognize those individuals and initiatives which have gone beyond regulatory compliance and shown tangible measurement towards Federal Green Challenge goals. In this webinar, you will learn about what three of the Champions award winners did over the last year towards their Challenge goals – a minimum 5% reduction goal in the target areas energy, transportation, waste, or water – and their lessons learned. Specifically, you will learn about:
- First year Federal Green Challenge results and the Champions awards program;
- Bonneville Power Administration’s Green Team and its overall environmental leadership;
- U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Pacific Region’s multi-agency Earth Day 2009 electronics collection event; and
- Glacier Bay National Park’s reductions of greater than 5% in energy and waste.
