Help us update our Community Involvement Plan

EPA is updating our Community Involvement Plan (PDF) (12 pp, 534K) for the Lower Duwamish Superfund Site and we want to hear from you. We will be interviewing community leaders, residents and others interested in the Duwamish Superfund cleanup in late July and early August. We want to hear how you want to get information about the cleanup and how you would like to be included in the decision-making process as the cleanup progresses.

Schedule an interview: To schedule an in-person or phone interview before August 21, 2015, please contact Julie Congdon (congdon.julie@epa.gov), Community Involvement Coordinator, 206-553-2752. To provide a written response via email, please email Julie for the interview questions.

Drop-in interviews: EPA representatives will also be available for drop-in interviews at the following times and locations:

  • Wednesday, August 19, 5pm-7pm – Roundtable discussion at Old Georgetown City Hall, 6200 13th Ave South (at the corner of 13th & Bailey), Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle
  • Tuesday, August 25, 8am-10am – Drop-in feedback/interview session at Two Tartes Bakery, 5629 Airport Way S, Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle
  • More drop-in sessions to be announced...

Community Advisory Group

Community Advisory Group (CAG) - A Superfund Community Advisory Group is made up of members of the community and serves as the focal point for the exchange of information between the community and EPA, state regulatory agencies, and other federal agencies involved in cleanup.
