To all Region 10 State, Local, and Tribal Governments, and to Environment Canada:

On December 2 and 3, 2003, Region 10 will be offering our third Air Toxics Summit. It will be held at the EPA Regional Office in Seattle, Washington. The summit is being held for our states, locals, tribes and Canadian neighbors, to provide them with an opportunity to network and share the latest and best information on air toxics. Materials from this conference will be posted here after December 4th, 2003.

We will be offering sessions on mobile source and diesel issues, indoor air, agricultural and forest burning, Maximum Achievable Control Technologies (MACT), mercury deposition, monitoring modeling, risk assessment and residual risk.

In addition, we will set time aside for strategic air toxics program development in a time of tight resources. Following the summit, on December 4, 2003, we will be offering more detailed 8-hour training on how to develop an air toxics emissions inventory.

If you would like to register for the conference or have any questions, contact Lucita Valiere at (206) 553-8087 or valiere.lucita@epa.gov.
