Solutia, Inc. (formerly Monsanto) Indian Orchard Plant, 730 Worcester St., Springfield, MA. With manufacturing operations dating back to 1902, the Facility is an active polymer manufacturing facility situation on approximately 180 acres. As a participant in EPA's Voluntary Corrective Action Program, the Facility is currently proceeding towards satisfaction of the requirements of EPA's Environmental Indicators and the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) largely under EPA's purview. The Facility has conducted numerous in-depth investigations and implemented time-critical remedial actions where appropriate.
