Current Status
Taunton’s Brownfields Program has successfully redeveloped several sites in the city, including the cleanup of two former industrial sites for reuse as the city’s new DPW facility. A $140,000 loan and $148,000 subgrant was made to the WEIR Corporation, a local non-profit group, to cleanup the Robertson on the River site. The Robertson on the River site was redeveloped into 64 units of affordable housing and commercial space. A grand opening ceremony took place on October 31, 2005.
