Description
The facility, which is no longer operating, formerly manufactured various types of metal fasteners. When operational, the facility operated waste treatment sludge disposal lagoons to treat waste from its plating operations. The facility is currently in the "RFI" stage (field investigation to determine nature and extent of contamination on-site) stage of a voluntary Corrective Action, and has also implemented several Interim Corrective Measures ("ICMs"), including contaminated soils removals, aimed at alleviating threats to health and the environment caused by on-site contamination.
