Description
Seaside Park Landfill, Bridgeport, CT is an active 49 acre municipal landfill which includes 2.5 acre metal hydroxide sludge cell. The landfill stopped receiving most wastes by 1985. Currently the landfill is only accepting demolition debris. The City has recently installed three monitoring wells to determine the quality of the groundwater. EPA expects that the City of Bridgeport will provide sufficient data before the year 2003 indicating that human exposures are not occurring and contaminants in groundwater are clearly delineated and controlled
