Description
Wyman Gordon, North Grafton manufactures metallic parts for the aerospace and aircraft industries. The facility is located on a 232 acre parcel of land. The facility generates degreasing solvent, oil, acids and electroplating wastes and stores them in drums and tanks. Prior to 1986 the facility dewatered some wastes in lagoons and prior to 1983 disposed of some wastes in impoundments. Significant cleanup work has been performed in the lagoons. Some cleanup work has been performed in the impoundments. The site is undergoing investigation and cleanup under a Tier 1A permit issued by the MA DEP.
