Current Status
The former Triangle Plastic Wire and Cable Company operated at the site from the mid-1940's until 1995. The property has remained vacant since ever since. The Town of Griswold plans to perform a Phase I and II of the property to determine the type and extent of contamination on the site. Once complete, the Town will acquire the property and perform the necessary cleanup. The Town of Griswold desires to establish a high-tech small industrial/manufacturing park on the property which will bring new job opportunities for the residents and revenue for the Town. The Town is working on the conditions for access with the current property owner.
