February 22, 2002 - The contractor, Ransom, completed the environmental assessment of the
March 11, 2002 - Schematic Design was completed by Woodman Associates.
June 10, 2002 - City Council declared the property surplus and authorized
the Mayor to issue an Requeset for Proposal (RFP) for a developer.
July 10, 2002 - Advertised RFP for Developer in the Central Register/News
with proposals due 8/15. City request included for contractor to clean up
the site according to MCP, restore front brick building, limit the density
to 22 units, create 15 affordable units, create high quality units that
reflect the historic nature of the City as the site is in our National
August 8, 2002 - Extended due date to 9/19 at request of non-profit
September 19, 2002 - Received proposals from two developers. The
Developer Selection Committee took time to interview and select a developer.
December 2, 2002 - Trinity awarded the development contract.
Trinity is requesting a design change from the original schematic design to townhouses. The Selection Committee is reviewing the proposed changes before they are
presented to both the Planning and ZBA Boards for zoning approvals.
