Description
The Site consists of an approximately 2.5 acre property with a 2-story brick building that was built in the 1850's as part of a woolen mill complex. In 1962, the Site was sold to the Zero Manufacturing Corporation, who manufactured aluminum cans and steel containers and performed metal finishing onsite. In 1980, the facility was leased to the Omega Metal Processing Company, which conducted electroplating of steel base parts at the Site until 1989. The metal finishing process included electroplating metal parts with zinc, cadmium, and nickel. The Site is located in close proximity to residential properties.
