This program provides funds and other assistance to Minnesota communities committed to increasing the number of both E85 (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline) vehicles and fueling stations and provides information on tax deductions for vehicles with "clean fuels" (e.g., hybrids and electric).

Incentives are in the form of rebates and tax incentives. Amounts vary.

Wind Energy Generation Grants

Description
This program offers direct per-kilowatt hour payments for electricity generated from new wind energy projects. Certain hydroelectric facilities and anaerobic manure methane digesters also qualify for payments until 2015.
Amounts
Minnesota will offer a 1.5 cent per kilowatt hour payment for electricity generated from new wind energy projects less than 2 MW in capacity. Qualifying projects will receive payments for ten years.
Eligibility
Commercial, industrial, residential, nonprofit, utility and tribal council entities.
