International Outreach Activities

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) advocates public education and awareness as part of an integrated plan to promote action on climate change. The Summary for Policy Makers of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group (WG) III Third Assessment Report states: "Social learning and innovation, and changes in institutional structure could contribute to climate change mitigation." The following pages summarize climate change outreach efforts being developed and conducted in countries around the world.
