This document supports compliance by states with the NAAQS for ozone. It provides technical information on various NOx controls for process heaters that state and local agencies may use to develop and implement regulatory programs to control NOx emissions from process heaters. It was prepared by EPA under Section 183(c) of new Subpart 2 to Part D, which was added to the CAA by the CAAA of 1990.
